he 'Dead Man's Hand' was made famous on August 2nd, 1876 in Deadwood, Dakota Territory. The day that Jack McCall came up behind 'Wild Bill' Hickok in Saloon No. 10 and shot him in the back of the head, just as he was about to lay down a winning hand - two pair, aces and eights.
